TERRAE was founded on a radical premise: that the most exquisite materials in the world are not mined or raised in factories—they grow from the earth. Mycelium that forms in 14 days. Cork bark harvested without harming a single tree. Cactus fibers that require zero irrigation.
Each TERRAE bag represents a convergence of artisanal mastery and environmental reverence. Our artisans in France dedicate 18 to 32 hours to each piece, employing techniques passed down through generations—saddle stitching at 8 stitches per centimeter, five-coat edge finishing, and hand-woven bamboo fiber details that make every bag truly one of a kind.
We limit production to 50 pieces per design per year. This is not scarcity for its own sake—it is a commitment to quality over quantity, to the artisan over the machine, to patience over convenience.
